In Charon’s Landing by Jack Dubrul , Philip Mercer has to save the day again. I always love a good book where the hero is an engineer. Mercer is cut out of the same cloth as Dirk Pitt from Clive Cussler or TV’s MacGyver . In this one, Mercer helps the United States end its dependence on foreign oil. There is of course a beautiful love interest who’s dad is in league with the bad guys. Is she too? I thoroughly enjoy Jack Dubrul books and if you like Cussler , you should also like Dubrul.
