Men at War: The Fighting Agents is the fourth book in the Men at War series by W.E.B. Griffin . The thing about this series that I enjoy is that when I’m done with one book, I am immediately ready for the next one. This book has two Operation of Strategic Services (OSS) missions in each World War II theater. For those that do not know, the OSS was the precursor to the CIA . The other thing I did not realize was the amount of resistance put up by Americans soldiers in the Philippines after Douglas MacArthur left and American forces were supposed to have surrendered. A self appointed general, Wendell Fertig led up to 30,000 joint American and Philippine soldiers in resisting the Japanese. If you like World War II fiction, this is a great book. Read the series in order if you can though.
