Traveller was a very entertaining book told from Robert E. Lee’s horse, Traveller ’s perspective. Traveller speaks to J.E.B. Stuart and Stonewall Jackson’s horses during the book. The thing that is really crazy about this one is that I was reading this book back when I was taking a summer school course in college (US history through the Civil War). The last test of the year, the professor added a bonus question and specifically said, “Brian, you’ll never get this one.” Anyway, the question was “What was the name of Robert E. Lee’s horse?” How bizarre that at that exact same time, I was reading Traveller . If you are looking for something different and you are a fan of historical fiction or civil war fiction, this is a great book.
