Preacher is the first book in the timeline for The First Mountain Man series by William W. Johnstone, but it is the 8th book in the series. In this book, we learn about the early years of Preacher. We found out how we ended up in the Rocky Mountains and how he learned to live off the land and became a hard man, dangerous to cross. It also introduces us to some of Preacher’s mountain man friends that make appearance in other books of The First Mountain Man series and The Last Mountain Man series.
