The Last Juror by John Grisham is about a murder that happened in Mississippi and the jury that judges the accused criminal. Willie Traynor acquires the local weekly newspaper and reports on the murder, the trial and everything in between. He also befriends a black women in Lowtown, across the tracks, who ends up on the jury. The woman is the first black person on a jury in the county. This is one of Grisham’s disjointed books. In my opinion it does not flow very well, but that being said, it is an entertaining read. It is not the caliber of his initial books. Has anyone ever noticed that John Grisham looks a lot like Rick Barnes, the University of Texas men’s basketball coach ?

I totally agree with your review of this book. Entertaining and a great read, but not as well-written as the earlier Grisham books.
