Guns of the Mountain Man is the twenty-fourth installment of The Last Mountain Man series by William W. Johnstone. In this book Calvin Woods (Cal) is shot by some outlaws as they are going across Smoke Jensen’s Sugarloaf ranch. It is touch and go for a while with Cal. Once Smoke is sure Cal is out of the woods, he will use everything in his power to bring the outlaws to justice. With the help of a few of his old friends, including Joey Wells and Louis Longmont, Smoke goes after Lazarus Cain and his band of outlaws. This is another standard good read by Johnstone. I never get tired of these books.
