I picked up the first book in the Mac Wingate Series by Bryan Swift at my local used book store. This is one of those early 80s paperbacks so it stinks (not the content, the actual book). The cover price is very low on this book so the store just threw it in with my other books. Mac Wingate is a special operations warrior in World War II. He is a man that gets things done so he is given difficult tasks by Allied leadership.
