Eye of the Storm by Jack Higgins is a book about Sean Dillon. In this book Dillon and a former friend from the IRA, Martin Brosnan, go head to head. Dillon is a terrorist who plans an attack on the British government and we wonder was it staged by Saddam Hussein, the KGB, some other terrorist organization? The people that have to stop Dillon are the same people he will work for down the road.

Day of Reckoning by Jack Higgins is a Sean Dillon book. In this book the wife of a white house secret group is murdered by a crime syndicate. The white house operative, Blake Johnson, calls on his friendship with Sean Dillon of the United Kingdom to bring down the crime syndicates boss, Jack Fox. Dillon and Johnson avoid some tight situations and take care of the bad guys. I enjoyed this book.

A Game for Heroes by Jack Higgins takes place during World War II. Towards the end of the war, the British Channel Islands are still occupied by the Nazis and they must be removed. An English agent and a band of Americans join together to defeat the enemy who will battle on even after Germany has fallen. An interesting fact about the Channel Islands is that they are British crown dependencies, but not part of the United Kingdom.

Luciano’s Luck by Jack Higgins is set in Sicily during World War II . After I read this book, I saw a show on the History Channel about Lucky Luciano and whether or not he was let out of prison in the United States during World War II in order to solicit the help of the Sicilian Mafia during the United States invasion of Sicily in 1943. I’m leaning towards yes. This book is how events could have played out. This was a very entertaining read and a little different than a lot of Higgins’ books.

Night Judgement at Sinos by Jack Higgins

Night Judgement at Sinos is another of Jack Higgins ’ adventure novels. I read an early 80s print of this book. Those of you who read a lot know what that means, a little musty and tiny words. In this first person account of Jack Savage, an underwater demolitions expert, Mr. Savage must break out some interesting characters from a Greek political prison on the island of Sinos. This is an older book, written in 1970, but it holds up to the test of time.

Hell is Always Today by Jack Higgins

Jack Higgins always writes great spy/thrillers. Hell is Always Today is another one. One of the things I love about Jack Higgins is that the books are fast reads. This one is fun because an escaped felon is the hero. If you like Jack Higgins, you will like this book.
