Johnstone is the first book in the Fury Series.  In this book Jason Fury heads towards California with his father’s wagon train.  During the long journey, the wagon train is attacked by Comanche in Oklahoma and Jason must take over as guide and leader.  Jason must deal with folks who don’t understand the dangers of life on the wagon trail and who will not accept his leadership.  This book also is the introduction to the founding of Fury, a town named after his father.

Johnstone is based from the old West town of Fury.  In this series, Jason Fury’s father is the leader of a wagon train heading to California.  The wagon train is ambushed by Commanche warriors in Oklahoma and Jason must take up the reign.  The series is based around the town of Fury that was founded in the Arizona Territory by the wagon train survivors.
