Preacher’s Pursuit is the 15^th book in The First Mountain Man Series by William W. Johnstone with J. A. Johnstone. In this book, someone is trying to kill Preacher and he doesn’t know why. There are two early attempts on his life, but each time he cannot get information from the killers prior to their expiration. On top of these attempts, Preacher must stop a Blackfoot Indian attack on the trading post at the edge of the Rockies that he helped create by leading the wagon train from St. Louis. The Blackfeet have been stirred up and given modern guns by a couple of British agents.

Preacher is the first book in the timeline for The First Mountain Man series by William W. Johnstone, but it is the 8th book in the series. In this book, we learn about the early years of Preacher. We found out how we ended up in the Rocky Mountains and how he learned to live off the land and became a hard man, dangerous to cross. It also introduces us to some of Preacher’s mountain man friends that make appearance in other books of The First Mountain Man series and The Last Mountain Man series.
